Lower Kingswood Evangelical Free Church

Roland Fidge is now into his 4th year as part time pastor of the church in Smithy Lane. We are all looking forward to the year ahead. Highlights of forthcoming events over the next couple of months include:

  • Early in March we celebrate the Church Anniversary, 79 years of work and witness in the Village. On Saturday 2nd March we have a guest singer Anne Gall who sings with the English Opera Company. The Sunday worship continues with celebrations when the Reverend lan White from Victoria Baptist Church, Eastbourne will be conducting our services. Later in March on the 20th at 7.45pm we have another visit from Sarah Chan who works for Christian Witness to Israel. Sarah travels worldwide and is a very interesting speaker.

  • Easter comes early this year. On Good Friday 29th March we will hold a service at 10.15am and on Easter day 31st March celebration services will be held at 10.15am and 6.30pm. On Wednesday 17th April at 7.45pm we have another "Question Time" this has proved to be a very popular evening, when Roland looks at questions people have put forward and we all put our views forward to get to some answers. On Sunday April 28th we have a Family service at 10.15am and then at 5.00pm we have "Tea and Favourite Hymns" when Christina Ward will once again be singing and playing for the occasion.

  • The New Building Fund continues to grow steadily and we eagerly look forward to the day when work will commence on the new church building. Numbers too are growing and it's good to see new folk from the Village joining with us.

  • Our services are every Sunday at 10.15am (a class for children is held and crèche facilities are available for the very young during the morning worship) and evening service is at 6.30pm. Mid week meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7.45pm for Bible Study and Prayer Fellowship; all are held in the Church in Smithy Lane. Come along to any of the above services where you will be warmly welcomed.
