CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other)

Around 40 folk come along to the CAMEO meetings at 2.00pm on the second Monday in each month. The meeting is held at the Lower Kingswood Evangelical Free Church in Smithy Lane. Each month we enjoy a variety of speakers on many subjects and all of the meetings finish with an excellent tea. The meetings are very informal and those who come along enjoy chatting to friends old and new.

The programme for 2002 is planned. In February "Books, Books and More Books", in March we have a talk on the "History of a Local Family Shop", in April "Easter Bonnets!!", May brings us "Slides from Australia", in June we have "News from Mozambique" and in July another "Strawberry Tea" is planned.

Many CAMEO members have joined STROLLERS. Strollers meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 2.00pm at the Church building in Smithy Lane. Once gathered they go by cars to a venue and enjoy a stroll in the countryside, then back to the cars when a welcome cup of tea awaits them in Smithy Lane. All these meetings are for folk from the Village and surrounding areas. If you enjoy making new friends and meeting people these are the meetings for you.
